CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Level 1
A well-rounded yoga practice emphasizing alignment and breathing, appropriate for beginners as well as those wishing to delve deeper into the fundamentals of yoga. Teachers are all well versed in modifications to work with students to make this breath centered pracice accessible to all levels....including Seniors, pre-& post natal students and those recovering from injuries.

Level 1 & 2
This "all levels" practice bridges Level 1 & 2. The basic postures are presented in more challenging ways with a focus on the fundamentals of yoga. Modifications are suggested for those newer to the practice of yoga so both the needs of Level 1 & 2 are addressed. Classes will focus on refining breathing and meditation techniques, alignment and safe progressions to inversions. Modifications are provided for each posture so that both new and experienced yogis can safely evolve.
Core Fusion
Build a strong core, front, back & sides to heal your back, improve posture and condition for other activities including yoga. Based on principles of sound biomechanics from Pilates & other movement sciences, this program employs exercises that tone and sculpt your deepest, hard-to-reach muscles so it’s more efficient and effective than traditional strength training. You’ll use your own body weight as resistance, resistance bands and small hand weights to really challenge and build your muscles.
Vinyasa Flow
A vigorous, dynamic class which begins with vinyasa, a style of yoga which links breath and movement through a carefully sequenced balance between precision and movement. The purpose being to energize and heat up the body in preparation for core work. Some teachers will choose to do deep stretches, some strengthening moves. Either format will be designed to provide you with an experience of feeling — empowered. This class incorporates music and is appropriate for Level 1 students who are physically active or Level 2 students.

Spa del Sol and Shanti Yoga Studio are open Monday through Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm. Yoga Classes are offered 7 days a week. Spa appointments can be scheduled at times other than these by arranging in advance. Online booking is available 24 hours, click here.
